A Little Bit About The NCOCU

Welcome to the National Coalition of Credit Unions !

The NCOCU is a non-profit organization with the primary goal of spreading Credit Union awareness nationally. We want to educate the public and make a simple, yet fundamental shift in the national psyche. When people think bank account, they should be thinking credit union.

While other Credit Unions associations do incredible work for the industry, we are the only association with the sole purpose of spreading the Credit Union message. In order to achieve this objective, we have put together a team of experts in high tech, marketing, and finance and we will be directing our focus on two distinct areas:

• Marketing of the Credit Union industry; and

• Nurturing cooperation among Credit Unions.

We will achieve our goal of spreading Credit union awareness through the implementation of a number of unique marketing campaigns. The primary "Be-A-Boss" campaign carries an informative and pro Credit Union narrative to the public. We will face consumers on all fronts - from billboards and TV spots, to and facebook ads and direct mailers. We have even produced radio spots and memes, all with the space for custom branding.

Our members benefit in two ways from our marketing efforts. First, indirectly, our pro-Credit Union message educates and inspires high priority demographics in our coalition member’s regions to learn more about Credit Unions, get them talking about financial freedom, and ultimately become Credit Union members.

More importantly, our ads will bear the branding of our members Credit Union’s for whatever territory they are in. The ads will also drive traffic to landing pages with our Credit Union Locator app that only coalition members are listed on.

Another benefit the coalition members receive is access to our resources page. On that page, we offer all of our ad content that is used in campaigns, and more, for our members to download. They can choose from a growing library of videos, images, all sorts of ads, social media posts, and many other types of top quality content, designed in house by our graphics and marketing teams. We license all our media and make it available to our members to use however they want. They can insert their own branding on any of the content they download.

Our second area of activity is with creating a dialogue between Credit Unions. We established a forum on our site for members to discuss a wide range of industry relevant topics. We plan on putting different ideas for campaigns to vote through our forum. We believe in pooling resources, and giving every member a chance to have their voice heard, a practice that is all too familiar to Credit Unions.
